We can't wait to welcome you back on Saturday 1st August!

We are so excited to be in the final stages of our preparations for reopening on Saturday! We have missed all our clients and can’t wait to be back on site to welcome you!

We have lots to tell you; our whole team has been busy behind the scenes. The building has now been deep cleaned from top to bottom, including the first of many chemical fogging treatments, which will continue throughout the day, every day. We have also all taken part in online Infection Control training and a Coronavirus course; our certificates will be displayed as further reassurance to you that we are doing everything we can to keep everyone safe. We have also been fully trained in how to use the chemical fogging system – we are proud of how unique this is.

We have various signs and stickers around the building to guide you. All staff will be wearing appropriate PPE, with masks available for you. However, we ask that you bring your own face covering wherever possible.

Our new timetable is coming together nicely and we want to thank you for bearing with us while we get it right. For the first few weeks, it will be a fluid timetable, with possible changes if classes are not full enough. If we have to cancel a class, you will get 48 hours’ notice and alternative classes offered to you. We aim to have a more permanent timetable in place within a few weeks, once we are back up and running in this New Normal.

Furthermore, we are delighted to be able to offer some virtual appointments from now on. We recognise that a number of people still feel uncomfortable with attending sessions on site but also still want to benefit from our Physiotherapy services.

Therefore, we are now offering the following phone or video sessions:

  • Virtual Physiotherapy triage 30 min appointment (£20)
  • Virtual Physiotherapy 30 min appointment (£30)
  • Virtual Physiotherapy 60 min appointment (£60)

The triage appointment is designed for all clients new to LEAR or presenting with a new injury, to discuss and provide advice regarding your symptoms and determine if a face-to-face appointment is required. The 30 min and 60 min Physiotherapy appointments are the follow up sessions to be conducted remotely for those not needing or wanting face-to-face treatment.

Upon your return to LEAR, we will ask you to sign a consent form, stating you are aware of all our new practices and confirming you agree to our COVID screening.

In light of the current pandemic, please be aware of the following measures put in place to keep you, other clients and our team safe:

Before your class/appointment:

  • All bookings are currently being made by phone or email.
  • All payments are currently being taken by phone.
  • There is currently no online booking ability while we ease into this new way of working.
  • Please come to your appointment or class ready to participate; there will be no changing facilities or showers available.
  • Please ensure you bring with you a full water bottle, a towel and appropriate footwear – socks MUST be worn for ALL Pilates classes.
  • There will be no on-site reception service, shop sales or refreshments available for the foreseeable future.
  • When you arrive at the building, please wait for your appointment/class outside as the doors will be locked – your respective Team Member will meet you at the appropriate door and doors are labelled, one for Mat Pilates / Fitness classes and one for Reformer Classes. The main front door will not be in use and the shop area will not be accessible.
  • Please be punctual – the door will be locked by the team member in time for the session to start promptly. There will be no one in Reception to let you in after the session has started.

During your visit:

  • Your team member will open the door and invite you in and will ask if you have had any COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, namely a high temperature, new and persistent cough or change in sense of taste and smell – if you answer yes to this, you will be asked to return home and self-isolate for at least 10 days as per government guidelines. We will then contact you on day 11 to review the situation.
  • Your team member will take your temperature on entry with a contactless thermometer – anything over 38 degrees C will be deemed too high to attend and you will be asked to return home and isolate for at least 10 days as per government guidelines. We will then contact you on day 11 to review the situation.
  • We will adhere to the current government guidelines if you have recently returned from abroad.
  • On entry, please sanitise your hands with the hand sanitiser available by the entrance. There will be other bottles of hand gel available for your use throughout the building
  • Please bring a face covering with you. We will have a limited supply of disposable masks for your use (in a class setting this is advisable but not essential; in a 1:1 setting you MUST wear a face covering).
  • Please avoid use of the toilets where possible; there will be flushable antibacterial wipes available for those who do use the toilets – please use one before and after use.
  • Please take heed of the signs and stickers around the building reminding you to sanitise your hands, keep your distance from others and adhere to the one-in-one-out procedure.
  • Please follow any arrows shown.
  • Please do not use any equipment without the supervision of your instructor.
  • During classes, there will be no touch or physical correction given.

As you leave:

  • Unfortunately, our team will not have time between appointments and classes to chat, due to strict cleaning routines. However, if you do require advice or feedback relating to your session, make it known to the team member, who will contact you later.
  • Please do vacate the building as swiftly as possible, avoiding use of the toilets where possible. No changing facilities or showers will be available.
  • Your exit will be the same door you used to enter.
  • On leaving, please sanitise your hands with the gel provided by the exit.
  • Your team member will show you to the exit and see you out.
  • If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms, please let LEAR know ASAP and we will advise on your next steps with regard to attendance.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • If we ask you to return home to isolate, you will not be charged.
  • We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Classes that are cancelled within 24 hours of the start time will be chargeable as will a no-show or late arrival. If you arrive late, there will be no one available to admit you as we are operating a remote reception service. Your team member will let you in promptly and then lock the door.
